Education and Prevention

The Education and Prevention team at Women In Distress is committed to providing quality prevention education and resources to all members of the community in order to create a violence-free world where love doesn’t hurt and everyone feels the safety they deserve. Our main focus is primary prevention education which focuses on preventing teen dating violence and domestic violence, and promotes healthy relationships with romantic partners, friends, peers, family, and the community at-large. Through prevention education, all of us can develop the necessary tools to practice healthy behaviors and support each other with empathy and understanding.
