Position Summary

WID is looking for an Overnight Residential Supervisor that is steady, observant, and dependable and has a passion for the organization’s mission. The Overnight Residential Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and continuity of residential services during overnight hours. This role provides on-site leadership, responds to emergent situations, supports residential staff, and maintains a calm, trauma-informed environment for survivors and their families.

Days/Hours

Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00pm-7:00am -- This position requires candidates to have scheduling flexibility as needed to support the team and meet the needs of this agency. May be required to be available and remain onsite to assist during emergencies and other critical times.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience working in residential, shelter, crisis-based, or human services settings.
  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and decisive in high-stress or emergency situations.
  • Strong observational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and survivor-centered care.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license. Safe driving record. Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide on-site supervision and support to residential staff during overnight hours.
  • Ensure the safety and security of residents by monitoring the facility and responding to crises or emergencies.
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and trauma-informed residential environment overnight.
  • Enforce agency policies and procedures and address concerns in real time, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Complete accurate and timely incident reports, shift logs, and required documentation.
  • Communicate overnight activity, concerns, and follow-up needs to day leadership.

Additional Notes

  • Candidate will be required to take the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency training and obtain a passing grade of 75% or higher.
