Position Summary

WID is looking for a Outreach Support Clerk that is organized and detail-oriented and has a passion for the organization’s mission. Impact: The individual in this position is the point of contact for survivors of domestic violence and their families. The Outreach Support Clerk will be responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, granting access to the Outreach Center and supporting the highest level of service for participants, staff, and visitors. The Outreach Support Clerk will provide assistance and information regarding services to inbound callers and direct calls to staff members where appropriate; greet and welcome participants and visitors; answer and address complaints as needed; responsible for scheduling participant appointments and managing the appointment calendar. The Outreach Support Clerk will also conduct file management to include audits, managing requests to access files and labeling files in accordance to retention and disposal schedules and preparing files for disposal. The Outreach Support Clerk is also responsible for developing and maintaining an efficient filing system to make updating and retrieving files proficient. This position will monitor the inventory of office supplies and provide support to the Outreach department as needed.

Days/Hours

Monday – Thursday 12pm-9pm and Fridays 9am-6pm. The position requires employee to have scheduling flexibility as needed to support the team and meet the needs of this agency. May be required to be available and remain onsite to assist during emergencies and other critical times.

Qualifications/Skills

  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Demonstrated knowledge in use of database systems.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license. Safe driving record. Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance

  • Employee will be required to take the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency training and obtain a passing grade of 75% or higher.
