Facilities Manager

Location: Jim and Jan Moran Family Center, Deerfield Beach, FL. Position requires occasional local travel. (Mileage is reimbursed.)

Position Summary

In partnership with the Chief Financial Officer, the Facilities Manager will work to create and implement an annual Prevention and Maintenance Plan while developing and overseeing the preventative maintenance schedule and implementing audit measures for compliance. Oversees daily cleaning and repair maintenance to keep all buildings (WID Campus, Pet Shelter, Thrift Store), grounds and equipment in good condition. Provides assistance to staff, visitors, participants and other employees as necessary.

Days/Hours

8:00am – 5:00pm. Full time 40 hours exempt position, which may include evening, night and weekend hours as needed. This position requires that the employee normally be on call nights and weekends in the event of an emergency as needed.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Knowledge of the requirements and operating principles of building systems; knowledge of current maintenance and construction techniques including health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong computer proficiency- Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Skilled at data analysis. Basic accounting principles to meet budget and identify cost saving measures.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to apply principles of management and supervision.
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.

Essential Job Functions

  • Direct of supervision of the Facility team.
  • Manages the operation of all WID facilities, equipment and grounds.
  • Oversee all aspects of campus security. To include being the liaison for the agency and the security vendor
  • Assures compliance with all applicable fire, health and safety standards and ADA compliance.
  • Coordinates and directs all building repairs. May perform duties personally, through facilities staff or through outside vendors.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance and safety programs that provide a healthy and safe environment for participants and staff.
  • Manage the following: vehicle maintenance, fixed asset control and replacement schedule, movement and inventory of furniture and equipment, supply management.
