Position Summary
Under the direction of the Thrift Store Manager, assists in the daily operations of the Women In Distress Thrift Store, including store donation pick-ups & merchandise delivery, customer assistance, stocking, receiving and sorting donations, and general store operations.
Days/Hours
Thrift Store employees work between the hours of 9:00am-6:00pm Tuesday through Saturday. The Part-time Driver will work up to 24 hours/week.
Position requires employee to have scheduling flexibility as needed to support the team and meet the needs of this agency.
Qualifications/Skills

Degree and/or Professional Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Specialized Education/Certification: CDL preferred but not required

Customer/donor relations skills: Must be comfortable interacting with customers and donors, always serving as a positive ambassador for the mission of the agency.

Computer Experience: Basic computer skills required

Valid Florida driver’s license. Safe/Acceptable driving history. Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance.
Essential Job Functions

Serves as driver of a box truck and/or pickup truck and is responsible for assisting with coordination and scheduling of all pick-ups of donated items and delivery of sold merchandise to customers as needed.

Ensure that the delivery truck is kept in a clean and safe working order.

Communicate regularly with the agency’s Facilities Director to schedule maintenance on vehicles.

Ensure that all customer request calls are responded to daily and scheduled accordingly.

Ensure donations are safely loaded and secured on the truck prior to departure from the donor's location. Unload items in a safe manner to prevent damage to donations.

Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Assist with daily operation in Thrift Store when required, including but not limited to operating register, sorting and pricing of donations, cleaning and tidying sales floor.

Complete other tasks as assigned.
Additional Notes

Employee will be required to take the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency training and obtain a passing grade of 75% or higher.
