Position Summary

WID is seeking an Overnight Residential Supervisor who is professional, leads by example, and truly demonstrates a passion for the organization’s mission. Reporting to the Residential Services Director, the Overnight Residential Supervisor will work in collaboration with the Residential leadership team to provide leadership and supervision of advocate assistants and support staff to ensure quality of services and shelter operations. The Residential Supervisor will provide daily oversight of department activities as designated by the Residential Services Director.

Days/Hours

This position requires candidates to have scheduling flexibility as needed to support the team and meet the needs of this agency which includes one weekend shift and on-call availability. Candidate may be required to be available and remain onsite to assist during emergencies and other critical times.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Degree and/or Professional Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field, required.
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working in a residential or communal living environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Ability to work with spreadsheets.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license. Safe driving record. Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance

Essential Job Functions

  • Overnight Residential Supervisor will provide trauma-informed direct services to survivors of domestic violence including individual and group counseling, support, and crisis intervention as needed. Utilizes the empowerment model and maintains a non-judgmental attitude towards participant's decisions. Models a non-violent conflict resolution and take appropriate steps to deal with emergency situations with the goal of maintaining the safety of all residents.
  • Overnight Residential Supervisor will monitor, support and provide leadership and delegate responsibilities as needed during their shift to ensure the safety and needs of the department are met within the designated shift. Shift responsibilities include the management of the: shelter roster, file and auditory process, inventory, participant. advocate assignments, monitor responsibilities and custodial work completion.
  • Overnight Residential Supervisor will monitor Advocate Assistants workload to ensure job responsibilities are adhered to as outlined in their Job Description and Benchmark Indicator Form to include support to advocacy services to ensure survivors are being provided with comprehensive case management and advocacy services.
  • Overnight Residential Supervisor will provide oversight of all quality assurance and chart audit reviews. Completes, coordinates, and reviews Residential advocacy charts. Submits reports in a timely manner to Residential Director and responds to follow-up requests regarding reports.
  • Overnight Residential Supervisor will oversee inventory process, including working with Residential Director to complete an analysis of the ongoing needs of shelter survivors.
  • Overnight Residential Supervisor will complete monthly reports and ensure staff will meet position productivity standards and funding contractual obligations and meet position quality assurance standards.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Additional Notes

  • Employee will be required to take the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency training and obtain a passing grade of 75% or higher.
