Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Education and Prevention Manager, the Training Specialist serves as the primary trainer for professionals, agency personnel, and community adults. The Training Specialist provides quality, capacity-building domestic violence education to community adult groups (college/university students, faith-based organizations, local clubs/associations, and others) and to professionals in the community from various disciplines. Additionally, the Training Specialist develops, facilitates, coordinates, and oversees the training program for Agency personnel including staff, interns, and volunteers. The Training Specialist provides required training to agency personnel through live instructor-led training as well as through the development, recording, and maintenance of E-Learning modules. Through research and development, and in partnering with Agency leadership and external trainers, the Training Specialist coordinates and delivers a comprehensive range of relevant, effective training opportunities to promote the capacity and professional development of Agency personnel, professionals from various disciplines, and other adults and stakeholders in the community.
Days/Hours
Full time, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday to include some flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Position requires employee to have scheduling flexibility as needed to support the team and meet the needs of this agency.
