At Women In Distress, we believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed in school, regardless of their circumstances. Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our community, our recent Back-to-School Joanne DeLizza Memorial Drive was a tremendous success!
Thank you so much all the individuals, volunteers, and organizations who donated school supplies, their time, and resources to make this drive possible. Your kindness and dedication have made a significant impact on the lives of the families we serve.
We also want to say a big thank you to Joanne DeLizza, a beautiful soul who passed away three years ago. Joanne became an enthusiastic supporter of the mission of Women In Distress after her friend, Women In Distress Trustee Lois Herman introduced her to the agency. Joanne’s commitment to the mission of stopping domestic violence was so profound that she directed a major gift to Women In Distress in her estate plan, in addition to living a generous life dedicated to helping others!
